-This "airfield" (feldflugplatz) had no fixed buildings,aircraft were parked under trees on the edge around the field,
a large farm nearby provided accommodation,I presume.

-THanks for that but I doubt that a farmhouse-even a very large one- could have provided accomodation for upwards of 500 airmen!

Could anyone let me know the layout and facilities of Wierre-au-Bois airfield when it was used by II/JG3 in 1940.
