For a while now, I've been trying to find the dimensions for this gun camera, as used on the CAC Wirraway by the RAAF. Well, now I'm the proud owner of said gun camera, what a wonderful old thing it is!
Some pics below. Now I can measure the thing to my heart's content for the detailed drawings for my Wirraway book.
Does anyone have access to the AP for this unit? Last time I was at the Hendon reading room I forgot to include it on my list...
I'm also looking for details on the mounting bracket which goes between the two mounting lugs on the underside of the camera and the bracket on the aircraft wing. See in the black & white image below...
And here's a G.22 mounted on the wing root of a 21 Sqn Wirraway:
