-I recently watched an Air Ministry film from 1947 about the various stages of protecting, packing and storage of items for RAF use. Sounded a bit of a boring subject matter, but the lengths that the staff at the MU (№7 Quedgeley) went to, to ensure that equipment was protected and 'preserved' for use all around the world turned out to be quite interesting. Some of the boxes in those images look like they may well have originated from the same time. I'd wager the contents will be in pretty good nick!!!
