Rear view mirror ID ? Ref 6B/2374

I have recently obtained a rectangular rear view mirror, it is marked 6B/2374 # 1215/41. Can any one please tell me what types it was fitted to, & if any one has a use for it ?.

    Cheer's.

With a ref number prefixed 6B (Navigation equipment) that will almost certainly be the mirror from a P12 type magnetic compass which was an "inverted" roof mounted type such as fitted to many aircraft from WW2 even up to the Victor and ISTR the RAF VC10 C Mk1.

      Hi Terry

I've looked at some P12 etc compasses, but the mirror I have is very different to the ones shown.

I have been told that it may well be a rear view mirror off of a WW2 fighter. I can't upload a photo of it at the moment due to problems with the network provider.
