In one of the Lancaster At War books it mentions the removal of Lanc nose arts before scrapping.
What happened to these and are any still around?

Several Canadian Halifax nose art panels were cut from the aircraft and brought back to Canada but no Lancaster nose art panels exist that I am aware of?

Very vague memory of some RAF nose art panels (may not be Lanc) in the old Essex Aviation Society exhibition at Duxford? Mounted in the ceiling? Very likely wrong on more than one count...!

Aren't there some at Hendon, in the Bomber Hall? That may well also be nonsense-it's ages since I've been!

In 1959 I recorded panels from the following Lancasters at the IWM in Lambeth:

R5692, JB345, LM584, PD426.

Where they are now, I know not.
Also, I believe that the original "Johnny Walker" art is on display at Newark.
