    North Weald Diary 2014

Hi all, is there anyone down at North Weald to add piccys here to be like the DUXFORD DIARY which is very informative and interesting.
Maybe my nudge will bring some shots in, I have heard Red Gnat out and about on the scanner a little while ago.
    just a thought .

Last weekend were the first three-ship Gnat sorties for 14 years. The Saturday one first…

There was also a two ship and first solo on type

Last Sunday, there were two more three-ship sorties

The second sortie was an air-to-air photo shoot with the Strikemaster, which took off first and flew on over the Gnats as they took off.

Yesterday (Good Friday) we had the Hanger 11 Hurricane doing a short air test before departing to Wellesbourne.

Our South Arabian Federation Provost, G-PROV, was carrying out training flights and a solo detail.

Our Hong Kong Bulldog, G-GPCL, was out on a local flight.

We also had another Bulldog, G-BZMD, XX554, visiting from Goodwood in standard RAF colours.

            Very nice set of pictures.

Does Dave Gilmour still own the Gnat ?

Believe he sold it along with Intrepid Aviation some time ago.

Thank you YAKRIDER, great shots, I am really looking forward to seeing more, I have not been over to weald in a dogs age!
30 years since the first Fighter Meet? I think I attended all of them bar one, be great to reinstate something on a similar lines but I do know expense prohibits such.
Keep up the great work at NW.

I too am greatly in favour of this thread. Great idea! Perhaps this would be a nice oppourtunity for people to upload pictures from Fighter Meets throughout the years too? I know they have been covered in other corners of the internet but it would be nice to have one solid thread to archive them all.

Looking forward to seeing this progress.
