Apart from that, as the person that started the original How Low Can You Go thread, all those years ago, I'm impressed it's now into it's 3rd or is it 4th volume :eagerness:

-M....mmm I think the Phanom's nose leg was only extended on take off from a carrier not for landing in Canada. :)

There is a cable passing through the tail of the aircraft,
I think perhaps we call this a false start.

The one above is certainly not photo-shopped! :dev2:
A request to Peter: can you please edit your first post to include a link to the "2013" thread?
http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?121503-How-Low-Can-You-Go-(2013)/page9
for example? :eagerness:
Many thanks in advance! :)

The original's pretty impressive. I wonder why its nose leg is extended? BTW is it the airfield where the Transall bounces over the road?

-The original's pretty impressive. I wonder why its nose leg is extended? BTW is it the airfield where the Transall bounces over the road? No, this was in Holland almost 30 years ago, taken at spot 1 of http://www.scramble.nl/airfield-guide/gilze-rijen .
This spot with the traffic lights still exists, even though Gilze-Rijen is now primarily a helicopter air base. Most fixed-wing (jet) aircraft still have to use this approach.

-This thread is good for demonstrating that stupid flying isn't restricted to a select few. It seems to be rife throughout the world. It looks spectacular - until it goes wrong.
Remember that the low flying altitude record has only ever been equalled, never bettered.

-I've done some low flying as well but only as part of a risk assessed and properly approved test programme. - not showing off like some of these idiots.
Anyway, here's one that isn't particularly low but a photo taken a few seconds later would have been worth seeing. I can't remember where I found it. On an old Recognition Journal I think.
