This (half) Russian spade grip has me confused. There appears to be room for only one top button, so not Sturmovik. It looks similar to a LaGG-3 grip, but that doesn't have the extra steel (brake?) lever: http://www.airpages.ru/img/la3_5.jpghis
There are also similarities to a Mig-3 grip: http://www.reaa.ru/yabbfiles/Attachm...bina_MiG-3.JPG
as well as references to an early Il-2 spade grip with only one button at the top. It will soon be going in a Deox C bath prior to getting a 3D printed other half. With the sad demise of the Cardiff Ian Allan bookshop, my reference library has gone. Any ideas?

Hi all, I've had this KG12E grip a while now and it's always been missing the electrical cover, does anyone out there know where I could find a replacement/reproduction or original cover? It would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you for any leads in advance, and feel free to PM me with any details. Thanks, regards Sam.
Ive just done up a replica cover at Shapeways.

A big lumpy yoke off a big lumpy aircraft, Fly.Buy! It has a very wartime look to it. Has it come from New Zealand?

Yes from NZ, fortunately their postal fees are not too bad, can't say the same for our custom import duties though, they Really stung me!!

I,m not sure Aeroparts have parts for sale anymore.
Since 31.12.04 AeroArt & Paerts does not longer exsist. The web pages will remain in the net for informational reasons. We thank all our costemers.

                      WW2 Luftwaffe KG12A. The F6/R10 markings link this one to a Ju87, perhaps a 87B or 87R. The KG12 type also flew on early-model Bf109s and Bf110s.

                          Parts for Luftwaffe KGs

I contacted Mr. Horst Rienecker, proprietor of AeroParts, as to the availability of items for KGs. He still offers some parts and can be reached at: h.rienecker@googlemail.com. Replies may take a few days.

                              Hi Rob,

What aircraft is it fitted into in your picture? The Mk 2 Dunlop grip was fairly standard to a lot of late war aircraft what made them different, was the type of Selectric gun button and of course the different AH numbers stamped on the front. For example, the Vampire single seaters, Fury, Spiteful, Meteor 4, Balliol T1 and Mk22/24 Spitfires all used the AH8400. The T7 Meteor the AH9365, Sea Fury FB11 the AH8490 and so on, all appear identical in form apart from the above.

I did have a 'bare' example with no fittings that had one AH number crossed out and AH8400 stamped on it as well, I let Jon H have it a few years back, I don't know if he still has it??

                              Cheers,

                              Martyn

Hi Martyn, it's fitted to Wyvern TF.1 VR137 at Yeovilton. I visited a couple of years ago but forgot to look for the number, and I'd like to get hold of an example to go with my stick tops.

And funny you should mention JonH too

Beautiful grip, early Fw190. Very cheap. Mine came from USA Vet too.

I saw Sam's (CorkeAero&Son) KG12 for sale at CockpitFest - nice grip too.

The odd Ruskie grip is out of the rust remover and looks much improved. No progress on making the other side, work and Cockpit fest kept getting in the way. That's a very nice 190 grip. Was similar fitted to the Hs129? Less impressive is this Seahawk grip: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1918957760...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Yes, the KG14 was fitted to early subtype Fw190s, the Hs129, and, as I recall once seeing a photo in FlyPast, at least some Me210/410 aircraft. The KG13B and KG13C replaced it in later 190s.
