The latest progress report on the restoration of the Bristol Aero Collections Bolingbroke is now up on the BAC website - here. Work at Filton continues on the centre wing section, which has received a lot of damage over the years. Hope it is of interest.

Looks like the outer wings from 10223, which has been in storage in Springfield, Montana for many years, along with 10070.

there is no such place as Springfield, Montana

Don't jump to conclusions as this wing could be from 10223, 10225, 10226, 10228, or 10229.

BTW, there is no such place as Springfield, Montana.

cheers

I think he means Springfield, Missouri. The "MO" state designator sometimes confuses us Brits. According to my US road atlas Springfield MO is about 174 miles from Kansas City. Of the serials you quote only 10223 is listed as a survivor. I think Filton Flyer made a fair assumption - unless anyone knows of further survivors where the serial no. would fit what can be seen the photograph.
Hope this helps, M-62A

Indeed, 'looks like' is generally taken as an assumption. You are correct in that 10070 and 10223 were is store in Springfield, Missouri. Given that 10223 is one of a handful in store in the US, Kansas City is only 167 miles from Springfield, MO, and that there are no other (known) survivors starting '1022', it seems a fair assumption as M-62A says (thanks). I've got some photos of these two somewhere, but can't find them at the moment.
