I posted this question on PPRuNe, but I suspect you people are probably more knowledgeable...

We all now about the He-115 recently recovered from a Norwegian fjord, which I'm about to write about, but what I don't know is how many He-115s were built. Some sources say "500," Wikipedia says 138. I suspect Wiki is correct.

Does anybody have any insight or information regarding this?

The Wiki author seems to have gotten that number from William Green's well-respected Warplanes of the Third Reich, so it seems a good number.

Title typo, but the text, at least, does say "built."

At least 3; the one they raised and the two I photographed in 40m of water just off the former seaplane base in Trondheim:-

And the second:-

Its safe to say the one raised is in far better condition...
