-It's had a lot of work done so far however after blending corrosion on the undercarridge not sure if they carried on. The engine situation is a problem after the recent asbestos scare in europe

Is this the one that was in a field near Grimsby, or a different one?
you would have thought there would be one in the AAM and at Cosford?

-Its the machine from Lasham - no relevance to the RAFM collection at Cosford and in U.S milltary service it was fairly limited . The type had a much longer service in Europe with various nations

Don't let Justin hear you cast aspertions on his commitment, he works on it every week sometimes more..
As to an engine? attempts to source one are being explored... then we may taxy it but thats sometime away

I was told by a Gentleman whose Father was in the Luftwaffe and post war West German air force that an F04 went over the East, and when intercepted by 2 migs, it went so fast they thought the US had an invisible plane - surely it would be as relevant as the F111 at Cosford? Besides surely they detached over here?

-The F-111 was based in the U.K and overhauled here. The F-104 has little relevance to the U.K -whilst some might well have deployed -they would be one type of a large number of U.S types that deployed here during the Cold War.
So in essence the RAFM doesnt need an F-104.

Can anyone tell me if there is still a Starfighter at Brunty and if so is it outdoors on display ?
Unsure if the one Jet Art had was the only one or another there.
