Great to know that so many Boomerangs are getting back in shape as the type was almost extinct twenty years ago.

Seems this rare RAAF WW2 project is advancing nicely into restoring a frontline RAAF fighter of WW2. Quite a few Boomerangs are under restoration in Australia and it is hard to believe that this was designed to take on the Zero in a short timeframe in early 1942...it ended the war mostly known for its roles in CAS and communication duties.
