There have been cases of Russian aircraft wearing other markings in films - could be one of those, but I hope not!!

-Sorry, Dave, I'll have to confess. It was April 1st! I was rather disappointed at the total lack of reaction but you hit have the nail on the head. They are screen grabs from a 1946 Czech film, a comedy thriller which pre-dates 'Allo 'Allo by decades and is a whole lot better. The Il-2 sequence comes near the end.

Maybe this is a partial answer to the recent speculation about Captain Eric Brown and his flights in Soviet aircraft. These photos of an Il-2 Sturmovik, apparently in RAF markings, are said to have been taken in Germany in the early summer of 1945.
