Yeah - my thought was that it was ventral... but definitely an AD-something!

Probably an early AD side airbrake, vestiges of a star & bar above ,possibly in Hanoi or N Korea,,?

My guess would be that it is in the War Relicts Museum, Saigon - partly based on the filename.

My 2 cents worth. Flat sided fuselage reminds of, but it's not, an E.E. Lightning. Prity sure it's a dive brake but.

I must admit I hadn't realised that the Skyraider picture had been addressed, in fairness I think it is Canucks go as he was the first to mention AD.

I really hate to point to the rules in post #1 of this thread, but I think we have to stick to something unless we want to wait forever for the next "Wot Plane".

Of course, dhc2pilot is free to yield to Canuck (who already gave way to you or sycamore in Post #531) by declaring open house, but this will, i predict, start the waiting all over.

And I reiterate... Open House! :diablo:

Our Beaver Buddy may go ahead, as far as I'm concerned.

The existing rules are rather arbitrary. This thread has beome nothing nore than a chat room board for a handfull of people who seemingly have nothing better to do than to watch this all day. "Sorry, I can't post because it's not my turn".
                                        Real schoolyard stuff.

How about NEW rules where anyone who finds something new/odd/seldom seen can post it?

This forum is supposed to be for education and sharing of information, let's make it more inclusive.
There are two sides to every story. The truth is usually somewhere between the two.

How about you create your own thread with whatever rules you see as superior?
