Which of the following TWO types of people get their prescriptions free of charge?The Welsh, but no option for it.
Still only got 16/24 so guess I'll pack my bags. Why couldn't they have had some relevant questions like:

96%, just the one wrong although two other questions I could answer only by total guesswork.

These were basically engineered such that the average person would not get them, and the government could claim "the immigrants are more British than you", since the immigrants would get higher scores due to studying for the tests. The very fact that natives score low on the tests proves what an inaccurate test it is! An accurate test, by definition, would be one in which the natives, without studying, would score very highly!
Here are a few good questions...
- Is it legal to stone someone to death?
- Are pre-arranged marrages morally acceptable in a western culture?
- The most common perception of Sharia law is
# fair, tolerant and moderate
# discriminatory, hateful and extreme

I failed with 58% :mad:
I think that where I went wrong on some of them, was that I was expecting
them to be trick questions, so I didn't go with the obvious answer.

There's a rich seam of humour here for thinking up questions that can prove how British your attitude is. I suggest -
I. Someone has pushed in front of you in the bus queue. Do you
a ) Remonstrate with them loudly that there is a queue,you know ?
b ) Say nothing to them but turn to the person behind you and say in a loud voice SOME PEOPLE ?
c ) Say nothing but give them the death stare ?
2. You are on holiday in the UK. On which days might you expect it to rain ?
a ) None. The UK is known for its pleasant climate.
b ) One or two,but only during the night.

FWIW I passed easily when I took the test a couple months ago when the story first surfaced, but that's more due to me having an interest in politics and the like, rather than some absurd idea of me being "more British" than the other people in the thread.

Just done a re-sit (in under four minutes) and passed with 79%! :p
(By the way, for anybody studying for the test, a ‘re-sit’ didn’t involve me paying anybody any money in a brown envelope! :diablo:)
Quite frankly I’m surprised I passed the second time, and also that I only failed by three questions the first time, because I was guessing most of the answers on both tests. Some of the questions seem to be geared as much at education as to ‘citizenship’; for example:
‘The percentage of people in the UK in 2001 who said they were Muslims was:’
The highest answer being 4.2% which is surprisingly low (even if it is the correct answer); but who is this question trying to educate? :confused:
