Broken Journey (Via Talking Pictures channel on Sky) A classic B&W drama from 1948 full of all the usual overacting and sudden clothing continuity
changes that are noticeable None the less I enjoyed the film that has a couple of recognisable stars early in their careers,if your into the genre
you should enjoy the film also...

      Starring:-Phyllis Calvert,James Donald,Margot Grahame,Francis L,Raymond Huntley,Derek Bond,Guy Rolfe,Sonia Holm,Grey Blake,Sybille Binder,

man in an iron lung, his nurse and a refugee. Discovering that the craft's radio has broken and knowing they are miles from civilization, the passengers --
each of whom harbors suspicions about the others -- must come to terms with their surroundings and work together despite their differences in order to prevail.

A long stretch in prison after a string of failed jobs has not blunted the desire for Kip to pull off one more job. And this time, it's the big one. As soon as he is released, Kip teams up with Steve, the brains behind several heists, and together they plan the job that will set them up for life: breaking into a bank
vault through the cellars of adjoining bombed-out houses. Their crew consists of Nodge for the heavy work, Dodo to handle explosives, and Ron as the driver. When Simmie supplies the gang with plastic incendiaries they begin their stake out of the bank and work out the best times to begin the drilling
and blasting their way into the vault. But just before the gang leaves, Kip has a heart attack and has to drop out. Against his better judgement Steve, who is strictly the organisation man, agrees to go on the job in his place. Meanwhile things start to go wrong.

                Hi All,
Fear And Desire Stanley Kubrik's first feature film from 1953 made on a tight budget with borrowed money from a few sources featuring very small
cast it's down to the viewer what to make of it considering it was his first main stream feature after a load of shorts....

                Starring:-David Allen,Frank Silvera,Kenneth Harp,Paul Mazursky,Steve Coit and Virginia Leith.

A fictitious war in an unidentified country provides the setting for this drama. Four soldiers survive the crash-landing of their plane to find themselves in a forest six miles behind enemy lines. The group, led by Lt. Corby, has a plan: They'll make their way to a nearby river, build a raft, and then, under cover of night, float back to friendly territory. Their plans for getting back safely are side-tracked by a young woman who stumbles across them as they hide in the woods, and by the nearby presence of an enemy general who one member of the group is determined to kill.

Arachnophobia - despite my fear and hatred of all things spider-related, I sat and watched this one (must be at least 20 years since I last watched it!). Great fun, though.

Halloween - John Carpenter's slasher classic.

Top Gun - at 9am this morning. Not sure the neighbours felt the need for speed, though!

Rogue One An excellent film based on the plot line of events just prior to the opening scenes in the original (Star Wars A New Hope). The only gripe is noticeable CGI wobble with Tarkin, granted CGI has come a long way but Tarkin's movements where not as fluid when walking IMO. None the less an outstanding film in it's own right, with some good comic moments especially from the droid with attitude K-2S0. On the whole a superb addition to the
                        franchise easily watchable multiple times.....

                          The Tuskegee Airmen

HBO's made-for-TV drama about the famous Red Tails of the 332nd FG. An underrated aviation classic, with some great performances by the likes of Laurence Fishburne and Cuba Gooding Jr.

                          Red Tails

George Lucas's take on the Tuskegee Airmen story. I don't mind it much - it's not brilliant, but it's not the worst film ever.

They can't get off, and
one solution proposed is to quarantine them by rerouting the train over the Cassandra Crossing -- an unstable bridge. Dr. Chamberlain wants to save
