Batman Begins and The Dark Knight

I've been trying to watch Christopher Nolan's take on the Batman franchise again, as I haven't seen it in a long time. I loved Batman Begins but was never a big fan of The Dark Knight, and I've never seen the third film, The Dark Knight Rises.

        Hi All,
Tony - Yes she was just a minor part but it's only after most actors or actresses have been successful later in their careers that you recognise them
in films of yester year but indeed you are correct as I thought exactly the same silly moo!...

Allow (Via Sky Cinema) An excellent British low budget drama that the actors pull off especially Timothy Spall...

Starring:-Timothy Spall, Juno Temple, Hayley Squires, Matt Ryan and Susan Lynch.

Ria (Juno Temple) and Joseph (Timothy Spall) are both in Blackpool to escape. She’s trying to get away from her abusive boyfriend, he’s trying
to escape memories of the death of his wife. When their paths cross, she won’t leave him alone and an initially grudging friendship develops.
But what they’re trying to leave behind them just won’t go away.

              Hi All,
Villain (Via Talking Pictures Channel On Sky) Not one of Richard Burtons finest performances in this British crime drama still watchable just!
that has some violent scenes but a good look at some of the cars especially those used in the film. I do think though once you have watched it that
would be enough IMHO, it's more like a pay the bills film for Mr Burton....

              Starring:-Richard Burton,Ian McShane,Nigel Davenport,Fiona Lewis,Joss Ackland,T. P. McKenna,Donald Sinden,Cathleen Nesbitt,Colin Welland,
              Tony Selby,Del Henney,John Hallam,James Cossins,Anthony Sagar,Clive Francis,Elizabeth Knight and Shirley Cain.

Ruthless East End gangster Vic Dakin has plans for an ambitious raid on the wages van of a plastics factory. This is a departure from Dakin's usual
modus operandi and the job is further complicated by his having to work with fellow gangster Frank Fletcher's firm.

                Hi All,
Passengers (Via Sky Cinema) I enjoyed this Sci-Fi film for the most a few comedic moments at the beginning then with the addition of the
characters female lead gets serious none the less still watchable even with a small cast especially if you like the genre....

                Starring:-Chris Pratt,Jennifer Lawrence,Michael Sheen,Laurence Fishburne and Andy Garcia.

The story depicts two people who are awakened some 90 years too soon from an induced hibernation on a spaceship bound for a new planet.

                          Hi All,
Jungle Book 2016 (Via Sky Cinema) Finally got around to watching this much lauded remake and was pleasantly surprised. If I never knew
that the child actor was acting against a green screen for the majority of the film you would swear it was real although there were a couple of times
you could tell it was mostly CGI.

On the whole a thoroughly enjoyable experience along with some truly excellent voice casting from many famous actors, the stand outs to me were
Idris Elba (Shere khan) especially Christopher walken (Louie)when introducing his character they take a scene directly from Apocalypse now and the
Marlon Brando character when Martin Sheen meets him for the first time.....

                          Starring:-On screen actors-Neel Sethi,(Kendrick Reyes as toddler Mowgli),Ritesh Rajan.
Voice over actors-Bill Murray as Baloo,Ben Kingsley as Bagheera,Idris Elba as Shere Khan,Lupita Nyong'o,Scarlett Johansson as Kaa,
Giancarlo Esposito as Akela,Christopher Walken as King Louie,Garry Shandling as Ikki,Brighton Rose as Grey Brother,Jon Favreau as Fred,
Sam Raimi as a giant squirrel,Russell Peters as Rocky,Madeleine Favreau as Raquel,Sara Arrington as a Nilgai Antelope,Emjay Anthony,Max Favreau,
Chloe Hechter,Asher Blinkoff,Knox Gagnon,Sasha Schrieber, and Kai Schrieber voice the Young Wolves,Dee Bradley Baker, Artie Esposito, Sean Johnson,
and Allan Trautman provide additional animal voices.

Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he's ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba)
unleashes his mighty roar. Guided by a no-nonsense panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of
jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of
self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.

12 O'clock High (Via Film 4) Still love watching this film and if you like the genre it shouldn't disappoint... No matter how many times
you view this film the loss of life that the USAAF suffered for every B-17 shot down with no survivors ten men were taken in that instant is just
                                so sad.

                                Starring:-Gregory Peck,Hugh Marlowe,Gary Merrill,Millard Mitchell,Dean Jagger,Robert Arthur,Paul Stewart,John Kellogg,Robert Patten,Lee MacGregor,
Sam Edwards,Roger Anderson and Kenneth Tobey.

In 1942, an American Air Force unit stationed in England is plagued with morale problems until no-nonsense Brigadier General Frank Savage
(Gregory Peck) assumes command. His tough leadership is initially resented by not only his pilots but his second-in-command (Hugh Marlowe),
a West Point graduate and son of a general. But, with the help of a hotshot flying ace (Robert Patten) and a sympathetic administrator (Dean Jagger),
the unit pulls together into a gung-ho fighting crew.

The Eagle Has Landed (Via History Channel on Sky) Always like watching this film good acting from a decent cast based on a fictional event
taking place during WWII although differing at the end from the Jack Higgins book. Which subsequently spawned a sequel called The Eagle Has Flown
I have read both books which compliment each other very well and anyone should enjoy if you like the genre....

During World War II, Nazi officer Max Radl (Robert Duvall) devises a plan to kidnap or kill the British prime minister. Approved by German Cmdr. Heinrich Himmler (Donald Pleasence), the scheme moves forward with Col. Kurt Steiner (Michael Caine) leading the mission, aided by Liam Devlin (Donald Sutherland), an Irishman with a deep hatred of England. As the plan unfolds, it seems to be going well -- until certain events threaten the group's shot at success.

                                      Hi All,
Quest For Love (Via Talking Picyures channel on Sky) A typical classic 70's Sci-Fi/Drama film that deals with an alternate universe and comes with
none of the modern CGI that so often accompanies modern Sci-Fi genre films if you like the genre you should be able to cope with the Drama side
of the film even if it does get a bit soppy at times.....

                                      Starring:-Joan Collins,Tom Bell,Denholm Elliott,Laurence Naismith,Lyn Ashley,Juliet Harmer,Neil McCallum,Geraldine Gardner,Jeremy Child,Ray McAnally,

                                      Sam Kydd.

Colin Trafford (Tom Bell) is a British physicist who discovers an alternate world parallel to his own reality. In this other world, among other differences,
World War II never occurred, and President John F. Kennedy is still alive. Trafford also finds that his other self neglects his beautiful wife (Joan Collins),
so he steps in and begins a relationship with her. Crossing over to this other reality creates significant problems, however, and Trafford must deal with the ramifications.

Battle Of The V1 (Via Talking Pictures channel on Sky) Classic WWII drama this was the colourised version and spoils it for me as the definition
of characters faces and darker images (Particularly Night scenes) becomes blurred so I definitely prefer the original B&W version p, none the less if you
like the genre you can forgive this version...
