      Hi All,
Paths Of Hate animated film: I just literally watched this short, just loved the animation you have to ignore the Stuka siren, the only reason the Stuka siren could possibly be included in this anti-war film is that it was probably the most recognisable and iconic sound's on a battlefield during WW2 ? But the animation is 1st class you can get the message at the end of the film. I have also included the films break down featuring the Director doing the selected scenes breakdown for thise interested.......

A short tale about the demons that slumber deep in the human soul and have the power to push people into the abyss of blind hate, fury and rage.

        First of the Few

The blu-ray transfer of this film is excellent, and the sound crystal-clear.

And the film is pretty good, too!

                  Hi All,
Can anybody work their daughters out ? I sat down with her to watch 'Bad Neighbours' most of the time my daughter claimed to be watching but messing around with texting what's that all about ? As for the film itself not bad quite a few really funny moments other wise just a flat film but if you want a cheap laugh have a gander.

The Lady in the Van - great performances from Maggie Smith and Alex Jennings. Next up - Bridge of Spies.

Geoff - I suppose all it's about is that she obviously was not engaged by the film. My grandson is the same. But in front of something he is really enjoying all other disrtractions get forgotten.

                      Hi All,
                      Charlie,
Amy is 23 and I wouldn't mind but Madame chose the film! I asked if that is how she carried on in the cinema ? Amy said "No your not allowed to do it" But like you said not engaged although sitting with dad listening to some of the jokes must have made her cringe while I laughed my duck off, very adult humour so possibly feeling awkward as well ? But still funny especially the Robert De Niro Party that part went flting over her head while I found it really funny. I suppose in all honesty you would have to have watched the De Niro films to get the sketch still funny though....

Bridge of Spies. Excellent with refreshingly few of Spielberg's trademark gratuitous "flourishes" and fine performances from all particularly Hanks and Rylance.

                                  Hi All,
Project Almanac - Surprisingly good Sci-Fi time travel film. Filmed as if on a hand held recorder but the quality is excellent not like some other crappy hand held films that are about, just a good enjoyable film. As a bonus I could swear they inadvertently caught a couple of meteors in the sky in the distant background ? It's in the gig scene keep your eye out on the sky at first I thought it was an aircraft but after rewinding a couple of times definitely a couple of meteors for me....

                                      Hi All,

Beyond The Sea - Biopic loosely based on Bobby Darin and his life very enjoyable and funny in places. Starring Kevin Spacey/Kate Bosworth/Bob Hoskins/John Goodman......
As a boy, Bobby Darin (Kevin Spacey) nearly died from rheumatic fever. While it left him with a weakened heart, it didn't weaken his desire to become the most popular singer in the country. Knowing that he's living on borrowed time, Bobby works nonstop to conquer the pop and jazz worlds with hits like "Splish Splash" and "Mack the Knife." But as the '60s come into full swing, Bobby sees his style of singing fall out of favor, and his marriage to actress Sandra Dee (Kate Bosworth) suffer.

                                        Hi All,
The Theory Of Everything - An excellent film covering Stephen Hawking marriage based on the book by his wife Jane Travelling To Infinity.....

In the 1960s, Cambridge University student and future physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) falls in love with fellow collegian Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones). At 21, Hawking learns that he has motor neuron disease. Despite this -- and with Jane at his side -- he begins an ambitious study of time, of which he has very little left, according to his doctor. He and Jane defy terrible odds and break new ground in the fields of medicine and science, achieving more than either could hope to imagine.

                                          Bram Stoker's Dracula

Lavish adaptation of Stoker's classic novel - but it does deviate quite a lot from the book, despite the title. It does add things that previous film versions remove for convenience, but it does add a false backstory to Dracula, such as him having a lost love etc. Still, decent fun.

                                          Murphy's War

Peter O'Toole tries to avenge his shipmates who were killed by a Nazi U-boat crew on the Orinoco river. Some great flying sequences in it as O'Toole's character tries to master flying a Grumman Duck seaplane, and a pretty good movie all round.
