          Hi All,
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes - I enjoyed it but can't understand all the hype but I will say it sets up the next film perfectly with how the films...

Fanboy film that's watchable but not as gritty as the originals.

                Hi All,
                hampden98,
Which did you like out of them two or indeed never ? Personally I liked both but not the sequels that followed Starship Troopers just got silly after the first one.

                Geoff.

'Inside out' very good film, loved the bit with joy, bing bong and the flying trailer trying to get out of the memory dump, really made me a bit smokey!

Just watched He Who Dares (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2740538/) so that you don't have to, unless you want to watch a dire work of fantasy and waste 82mins of your life, of course.

To give you a little bit of a clue as to why you should avoid it just think of the complete plot ripped off from the original Die Hard but filmed in a deep underground car park (15 floors?) next to a bank in London, where the SAS is called in because the PMs teenage daughter is kidnapped by a loony with his own private army who is actually trying to drain the PMs bank account (6,310,329.50, if you're interested; things must be tough when you move out of investment banking and into ruling class politics!). It even cribs a Christmas Eve party or two from the Bruce Willis actioner!
The SAS act like they've never heard of ambushes, with their tactics pulled from some X-Box game, and as a result keep getting picked off until just the boss is left alive - but that doesn't matter because you won't have remembered who any of them were anyway. The bad guys are nearly all dressed in hoodies and what looks like motocross masks, acting like dim street thugs yet able to defeat the SAS, so you needn't bother investing too much time in keeping up with them either; the head loony has a few good lines - but then he was one of the writers and probably saved the best for himself - but the SAS leader and the police detective (the good guys) are just this side of anonymous whilst the rest of the cast might be hoping to be noticed in this catastrophe for the chance of a background appearance in Eastenders.
Bodycount: huge, and pointless to the plot for the most part. Maybe they could only buy the fake blood by the barrel?
                          Swearing: lots and *&^@%$ lots.
Sex/nudity: none (an exposed ankle, a little kissing and a near rape) so if that is your perversion you'll have to look somewhere else.

And they've made a sequel too!

                            Hi All,
Jersey Boys - Film adaptation of the stage play about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I enjoyed this underrated film as any music fan would especially if you like origin story's like this, well worth a viewing IMHO......

                              Hi All,
The Road - An excellent Drama of a post apocalyptic world, more realistic than most of the films that have assumed Aliens/Zombies/Plagues/Comets etc.etc. will be the norm when the crap hit's the fan...

                                Christine

A teenage boy's Plymouth Fury has a mind of its own, and proceeds to hunt down the people who wronged him and smashed the car up. Half decent movie, but the book was better.

                                A Nightmare on Elm Street

The original, and certainly the best.

I saw the "The Gunman" last night. For me it was simply one of the best movies I've seen lately. The story and the suspense held me to the chair until the end of the movie. In the background there is much reality that is unknown in the interests of a large multinational and its ability to achieve its goals. Great movie.

The legendary trilogy from Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell. Still great films, and I forgot how funny the third film is.

                                    The Terminator/Terminator 2

In my universe, there are NO more Terminator films after these two - the second one ended the story perfectly!!

Actually a very good movie and it is interesting to watch Meryl Streep sing and play guitar as leader of a cover band.
