    Hi All,
After Earth - Bit of a let down looked promising but not one that Mr Smith will want to remember just a $ making exercise for him and a showcase for his son.

      Elysium

Matt Damon in the latest sci-fi actioner from Neil Blomkamp. Pretty decent - great effects, for certain!

Airplane!! - the original and still the best. You know the gags, you anticipate them and still laugh out loud at them. Classic Zucker.

Play Dirty (Michael Caine, Nigel Davenport)
LRDG type adventure set in the dessert. One of the `classic` war films.
Sadly I doubt we will see the actors, nor the genre ever again.

Enders game, if you like SciFi with a decent story line you'll like this, big budget and star cast such as Harrison ford..

Makes that crap with Will Smith and son pale into insignificance.

The invisible Woman - Ralph Fiennes directs and plays Dickens. Excellent - beautifully directed and acted.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Christian Brothers.

Almost no idea what was being said but the songs are good, interesting scenes in London and Katrina Kaif in Jab Tak Hai Jaan

GRAVITY...............I actually spent a Tenner on this, CD, waste of money, after seeing all the blurb about it.

Be thankful you didn't spend more seeing it in 3D, Jim!

Having said that, it was beautiful to look at, and quite an experience to watch in the cinema, but I think a lot of that would be lost on the small screen, just as it was with Avatar a few years back. Also, the story's a bit predictable, but Sandy B's always worth a watch.

Yes there is certainly a number if films which only work on the big screen, where they are meant to be and are wasted on TV., unless you happen to own a vast plasma screen with all-around sound!!

I don't know about you lads with vast home entertainment systems.....the bigger the screen the smaller the "remote"!! Mind you I invested in brand new Samsung flat screen a few months ago - 20" how about that?
