Good god almighty, this stuff hits the spot....

If you can find it in the UK, buy some, they could put the jocks out of business.

It's called Catdaddy...with moonshine written under it and 'XXX' inscribed on the bottle.

I'll stick to the Scottish highlands thanks.

That's about as near to whisky as a bacon butty. Once you have tasted a few Highland Malts, nothing else comes close.

I know our Scottish friends wont like me for this, but:

They havent been going for long, so the whisky is a little on the light side, but its extremely promising.

Must go and get some more....

Anyway, I always thought our American cousins produced 'Whiskey'....!

The Penderyn Single Malt is as good, if not better, than many Scottish Malts!

Penderyn Single Malt is alright, nothing spectacular though.

I am pleased for you but I am an old traditionalist when it comes to malts. In any case Penderyn has hardly had time to develop any maturity.

Hmmm... everyone appears to be dismissing this stuff without actually trying it... So your protests are invalid ;)

That's the Irish spelling which has crossed the Atlantic as a function of the Americans love of all things Irish and picturesque - witness Noraid and its funding of the quaint ole IRA to enable them to blow more 'Oirish' civilians into bloody pieces with quaint and picturesque ol' Semtex.

Comet's position as a beer expert has been massively reinforced by their contribution to this thread.

I love Highland Park! My favourite whisky for a special occasion though is Glenfiddich 15 - a good one to have in for Christmas.

Highland Park is brilliant! I also like Talisker 15.
