    Plane ditched in Channel this afternoon.

    The pilot, the sole occupant was rescued by a ship and transferred to a hospital by helicopter with light injuries.

    Update, plane was a UK registered PA-32 and perhaps ditched nearer to the North Sea rather than the Channel.
