-Very sad news. I nearly put up a post earlier about it having been a good weekend with no news of any crashes and then thought better of it. I'm glad I did after seeing the news of that. My condolences to the families of those killed.

It's very rare you'd get two helicopters near the same hospital...
Most NA EMS helo crashes have to do with weather...guys try to complete missions when they shouldn't.
In recent years the safety record has greatly improved.

Medical helicoper flying seems to be a dangerous occupation in the US, there are frequent crashes. Here, six people were killed.:(
