-Glad to hear that the pilot is OK and that the aeroplane doesn't appear too badly damaged.
Any news on the circumstances?

-No 'new' news. The accident happened just before seven p.m. so it was still light.

-In the photo you can see that they are still searching for the second pilot.
That is the kind or terrain that looks great for a forced landing from 2,000 feet but get down to finals and it all looks rather different. He/she did well to keep it upright.

There is some of the opinion that he/she didn't.
Damage to the top of the fin and rudder can apparently be seen.

Maybe the pilot was pregnant? The plane did overturn and the pilot was trapped in the cockpit, hence the cell phone emergency call.

-Forgive dredging this up, but this video has just been released, as well as the AIIB report, which gives some very useful thoughts about spinning and recovery.

It has to be said that the pilot kept a very cool head.
Report is here.

Tipsy Nipper G-ONCS ex G-AZBA crash landed yesterday at Tollesbury in Essex. The pilot force landed in marsh land and was uninjured but needed rescuing by the Fire Brigade.
