Picture it: You have been flying over unknown territory for a while. A hand-written cross on your map indicates the airfield you are heading for. The veteran who maintains it has given you the runway headings and warned you not to mistake the nearby dirt road for the runway. Below you, the Scandinavian forest seems to stretch forever eastwards. In the west the snow-covered mountains decorate the horizon. Now, there is the village you have been told to look for. You turn east and after a few minutes you spot something that might be a runway. Downwind, base, final, full flaps, you prepare for a short-field landing. Touchdown and you hit the brakes. Better not run into the 15 planes that are parked in the other end. Here, in the middle of nowhere, you have been invited to a barbeque party. You can smell the home-made moose-burgers being prepared as you open the door of your plane and are welcomed.
