'Gonzo' will appear at Oshkosh this year.

Who?! N49RF, nicknamed 'Gonzo' is a hurricane chasing plane belonging to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration not seen too often. It has a range of 4000 nm and a cruising altitude of 45,000 feet. It is equipped with a tail Doppler radar and the ability to deploy weather data gathering probes whilst in flight. I have been round the world 11.83 times!

The probable reason it isn't seen too often is NOAA doesn't want to explaining why they bought a very expensive, top of the line, bizjet.

And notes it has received a couple of (again presumably expensive) paint schemes.
There are two sides to every story. The truth is usually somewhere between the two.
