The General Aviation Group will be holding their first lecture of 2015 on Tuesday 17 February. The talk will be given by Keith Dennison, Chief Test Pilot, e-Go Aeroplanes.

The e-Go aircraft is going through the final stages of testing. It is an unusual single-seat aircraft - a canard with an exceptionally light, strong structure, efficient aerodynamics, Wankel engine and state-of-the-art avionics. A key aim of the design was to ensure that the aircraft can be flown safely by even inexperienced PPL pilots while retaining some pizzazz in the handling.

Keith Dennison, Chief Test Pilot, will relate the testing story that started in August 2013, illustrating how the inevitable development issues were resolved. e-Go aeroplanes was formed in 2007 to develop and market a range of light aircraft, of which the single-seat e-Go is the first. Over 100 people and organisations have contributed to the development, in what has been a unique community project.

Attendance to this lecture is free and RSVP is appreciated: http://aerosociety.com/Events/Event-List/1788/Flight-Testing-the-eGo

I must admit I'd be more interested in a lecture on 'Market testing the demand for a sixty grand, non-aerobatic, single-seater'.
