Just one from Saturday, shot by Mrs Moggy Mid-Channel on her first outing in the replacement aircraft

Brilliant day, not even spoiled by the gusting-to-18 crosswind at the French end.

I actually thought the thread title was referring to Battle Of Britain Sunday ? I'm just off to my local remembrance service at the former RAF Thornaby which is held around the the airfield memorial .
I hope others remember the Few today too .

I hadn't thought it could be taken that way - changed.

Of course I shall also remember The Few who helped make the Channel skies safe for my pleasure jaunt yesterday

Sorry to nearly hijack your thread Moggy , it wasn't intentional .

A quick Google reveals that many Battle Of Britain Sunday services are being held next weekend , 21 September including the Westminster Abbey service , some details here although too late to apply for a ticket ; http://counties.britishlegion.org.uk/media/3924130/Log-176-14-Letter-from-RAF-Ceremonial-Office.pdf

There was a good turnout for the Thornaby service including many children from the local schools , one of which was Bader Primary School . I think Thornaby holds its service on a different day to Stockton , the main borough town , so that civic digniteries can attend both services ?
