Hope we will see a few people at the VAC fly-in this weekend. Weather is looking not too bad if the wind stays at a reasonable pace. We had the replica Mew Gull in this week so perhaps that might try its luck again Sunday.
If you've never been before come and have a look at one of the UK's friendliest airfields. Within easy distance of the M1 and M40.

Did this event actually happen? I was going to go but the weather (intermittent rain and occasional strong winds) put me off. No point in going to a fly-in if there are no aeroplanes!

I flew in with my Airtourer along with two others. Any pictures Duxman? It was fairly sporty coming down final with quite a lot of turbulence but the nice long runway at Turweston gives you time to sort things out. I agree it's always a friendly place to visit and the cafe does good grub at reasonable prices.

Some further pictures now added to my Flikr site ( as above) which includes the 3 Airtourers.

Thanks Duxman. I think we had the biggest "fleet" there although there may have been more Tiger Moths at one stage.

Is the quickest way to Turweston from the M1 off at J13 and skim Milton Keynes, or off at J15a and down past Silverstone ? (heading up from Hertfordshire direction).

Some nice shots there and I like the one with the two Airtourers facing the camera. I hope to be at Fenland but I'm not sure about the others. I guess we'll see on the day.
Cheers
