My friend and his wife were out bimbling last Sunday in the Beaulieu area and making sure that they did not make any CAS incursion. When they landed, the tower said they had a message, would my friend please ring Solent ATC.
He asked if there was a problem. ATC said no, there had been no infringement of any kind. They (ATC) were just puzzled by my friend loitering in the area for ten minutes. They said that they thought he might have a problem and was looking for a place to land !
This is probably a breakthrough for ATC: This could enter air law. Loitering with intent to not enter CAS.
