-Apparently the pilot was imprisoned in his cockpit until the emergency rescue service arrived! Fortunately for him, there was no fire.

-Cockpit ergonomics can be an issue on homebuilts.
Twice in the early days I floated happily down the huge runway at Tibenham with no sign of the thing wanting to land, only to discover I was pulling back the prop control instead of the throttle.
