Midget racer crash landing nr. Halfpenny Green, pilot safe.

Amazing how you could fit two people in that cockpit!

Apparently the pilot was imprisoned in his cockpit until the emergency rescue service arrived! Fortunately for him, there was no fire.

Cockpit ergonomics can be an issue on homebuilts.

Twice in the early days I floated happily down the huge runway at Tibenham with no sign of the thing wanting to land, only to discover I was pulling back the prop control instead of the throttle.

'Fortunately there was no fire' ! I guess the lack of fuel in the thing was a blessing!
