-I've also had a search of the internet and it does seem that there are so many people with the same problem.
I'd return it to where you bought it from, get a refund, and maybe consider buying it again when Microsoft eventually resolves the problem! Just stick with FS9 for now. :(

-Sounds like the Installer may have a bug.
Google installshield 1722 if you want to know more.

For about seven weeks I have been unable to install FSX. I bought FSX when it came out and at the end of the second disc it stopped installing at a point that it was installing the fonts. Up came an error cde 1722 and the installation said it was rolling back. Contacted UK Microsoft Helpline and after nearly an hour; was told they where working on the problem as there were thousands of people with the same trouble.
To date I have heard nothing; and have searched the internet, without any success. Does anyone know how to get FSX to install?
