Worldflight is a yearly event where specially provided flight simulators are piloted around the world to raise money for charity. WorldFlight started off in Australia using Matt Sheil's brilliant homebuild cockpit of a 747-400, which is now a full motion simulator. More and more Cockpit builders from around the globe joined in year by year and there is now an impressive 8 home built cockpits taking part.
The aim of WorldFlight is to raise money for chosen charities. Worldflight Australia raises money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service; WorldFlight UK is raising money for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Service.
This year Worldflight is anticipated to be bigger than ever, with over 40 online fliers joining the simulator pilots around the world. This is a fantastic event to be a part of, and you can be part of it too by dusting down your computers, firing up those jet engines and joining in on the VATSIM network and following WorldFlight around the world.

Full Flight Schedules and a lot of good info about Matt's amazing 747 simulator, and the other simulators in which the charity raisers are flying can be found at http://www.worldflight.com.au/index.php

The Worldflight promotional video can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfVnZLagTo0&feature.

The event kicks off in Sydney this Sunday, 31st October, at 22:30z

It would be great to see you all there in the virtual skies.

Don't forget people, WorldFlight starts this evening at 22:30z. ATC will accept clearances on the ramp from 21:45z.
If you can't make tonight you can catch a flight throughout the week as the flights are conducted 24hrs a day.

See you on the apron, I'll be there as QFA503.
