Very peculiar! I think after seeing Airline on ITV1 we can tell they're not the best run airline in the world!
Great sum-up of your trip anyway.

I must say easyJet is my favourite airline apart from the management team who seems to be a bunch of friggin bstrds to put it lightly, excuse my french! easyJet staff are really good considering the things they deal with!
I am sure everyones favourite airline on the forum, if on a show like Airline, would be shown up exactly the same as easyjet. Its just easyjet have the guts...

I do know how good Brittania were displayed on their "Airline" series but easyJet arn't exactly the worst airline to be on time. Far from it but there are also things when the camera wasn't there. For instance, Aldergrove (EGAA/BFS) gave us a slot at 0720 yesterday morning as we had to cancel our 0700 slot because easyJet flew a cabin crew member (by himself) out on a turboprop from Luton because they were one short (he enjoyed my copy of Airliner World as he read it on finals!) of one cabin crew member. This therefore delayed us but not easyjet's fault because the cabin crew member in Belfast had fallen ill.
We therefore boarded with no rush but as we were boarding we were told by the captain that ATC, which was ture as i was listening on my scanner, had moved the slot from 0720 to 0710 and at that time it was 0705 so we didnt exactly have time to load up. THe captin, in a fustrated tone, asked us to sit down as if we missed this slot the next one was over an hour away! We departed and taxied. Usualyl you are asked to stop at Run. 25 Hold but we just taxied onto runway and took off without stopping to line up!!
I am not saying that this would happen on all easyjet flights but I am saying easyJet seem to be getting abuse for being late when, at least sometimes, it is other peoples fault; ATC being nasty, Passengers missing e.t.c .
Can you gues not give them a break I mean it aint like Ryan Air, Go, bmi, Virgin are all on time and are all better than easyjet. If you saw a show about Go the only thing that would be different is that you get a seat and dont pick your own. Ryan Air I say would be the same as easyJet, and all airliners like SN Brussels, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and bmi would be like Go except you get a meal!
Come on give easyJet a break I mean as i said the management aint right in the head but they are (after october) gonna be the biggest no-frills airline in Europe followed by Ryan Air.
Also, if Ryan Air were on it you would see the same abmounth of grumpy passengers as thats what people want to watch not everything going smoothly! Ryan Air have less people to blame ad they do bagage handling etc themselves I am told by an airport employee so if ur bag dissappears and they blame it on the airport services you know they are lying to you!
COME ON, GIVE EASYJET A BREAK

What's wrong with Easyjet management?
It seems like a profitable company.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-07-02 AT 02:01 PM (GMT)]easyJet managment are the nastest kind of management when it comes to customer and public relations. They will not even let people praise easyjet via websites and if they do will get the website taken down completly (this also applies to tv also i am told by an "insider"!). They are a very good company porfit wise but that is due to Stelios setting the company up!
The management don't seem to be very nice by over 10 accounts i have had of them, except Ray Webster who seems to be very nice guy.

I fly with Easyjet quite abit out of LPL. I recently flew LPL-AMS-VRN. Interestingly both Easyjet flight to and from Amsterdam were on time, where as Air Dolomite were over an hour late on their outbound AMS-VRN service. I have also flown a couple of weeks ago LPL-CDG-MAN. Again Easyjet on the outbound were on time, but Air France back to MAN, over an hour late.

You say Easyyjet management are nasty, but no one has accused them of "dirty tricks" yet!
Anyway, management doesn;t need to be nasty to make a success of a company. You do need to be decisive and fairly tough however.

I have just returned from Edinburgh Airport on an easyjet 733 (1998/G-EZYG) where the head of cabin crew didn't seem to know her job too well! After telling us about the life jacket, i was in seat 1C, she turned to the girl demonstration as said "What am I doing" and that was what I was wondering! She then proceed doing a sketchy version of the safety routine in which she left out Low Level Lighting to the exits and about the whistle and light on the life jacket. I found this quite strange for the head of Cabin Crew. She was very inthusiastic about the easyKiosk which i am told is a large amount of Revenue per flight! It should be at £1.00 for a 150ml can!!!!!!
Also, on the way out I had the aircraft G-EZJN which, if you look in your copy of Airliner World (the table of Boeing aircraft delevieries) is the easyjet 737-73V that Boeing delivered in May this year. Easyjet seem to get a steady stream of 1 aircraft a month at the moment!
