That's rather silly..
Take any random registration and see how you can make it mean something, particularly ones which contain an A and a B where you can mention Airbus and Boeing.
Nice pic anyway A330!

Well at least MOL has character. Good PR for us accountants! Maybe I'll pull a similar stunt when someone makes me CEO of a big airline!

What would be a typical delivery route for a 737 from Boeing to the UK/Ireland and how many pitstops would one expect to make along the way ? Presumably anything from a 757/767 upwards would do the entire trip in one go ?
Just wondering...

The 737 can go nostop, too... Air Berlin's 737-700's were delivered nonstop from Seattle to Berlin...

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-11-02 AT 04:12 PM (GMT)]Non-stop? That must be 4,000 miles - maybe more?

As far as I remember , wysiwyg spoke about this afew weeks ago.
After delivery , a brand new jet flies with no passenger and no pay-load.
Therefore thay can fill the tanks to top and extend dramatically the max range.

Ryanair love angering other airlines and manufacturers.A good PR stunt but I really do think it is rather silly.I sense a bit of jealousy and aggravation from Boeing and Ryanair...

Did you see that lately Ryanair have put something about Alitalia and Lufthansa on two of their aircraft? Aiming a bit to high there I think!?! :)

depends what type of B737 - i remmerb an AW artical on the BBJ which flew its 15hr delivery to Jeddah from Seattle non-stop

Empty 737's and BBJ variants have almost zero payload so therefore they can fill the tanks and go for miles. Put a normal passenger load on board and you'll be swimming the second half of the journey. A 757 is currently about the smallest airliner capable of crossing the pond with a normal passenger load.

RyanAir has just taken delivery of its newest 737, reg no. EI-DAC.
It is said that the DAC bit it the reg no. stands for "Drive Airbus Crazy"... lol. But I think that it is Airbus that is begining to drive Boeing Crazy??? :P
