-In the first pic it looks like they've covered the engine in parcel tape! The new livery is fresh and looks great!

-Were you trying to be ironic when you started this thread with two photo's?;)
The new livery does look good. As does the range of activity at Milan Malpensa. Is that the main airport for Milan or is like Ryanair's London North (prestwick)?

-I think the new livery looks a lot better on the A340 than it does on the smaller types.

-That A346 looks like an A332 to me. ;) Looks good, but then every A330 looks good!

-I like TP's new colour scheme. Also, nice to see US starting service to MXP as UA pulled out of there about 2 years ago. Gives me some options as I plan on visiting there the next few years. Nice thread, by the way. ;)

Malpensa and Linate are the main airports in Milan, Ryanair, Jet2 etc fly to Bergamo, though I think easyJet fly to one of the main airports.

-Just to be pedantic, Bergamo is closer to Milan than Malpensa hence 'Milan Bergamo' :)

I don't think they are. The only aircraft they are due to receive are a few more A330s and a couple A340s. However, in a few years, they will be the recipient of a few A350s, depending on what happens in Toulouse with the design of the latter.
It is too bad that they aren't receiving the A346, I think this aircraft would look great in TAP's colours!

what will in your (or anyones) opinion (full fleet ones, not special c/s)?
I think BA Landor will always stand out as recognisable. although not very inventive, it traveled the world. Of course AA wonderful scheme as well.

On the contrary, BA's Landor livery, both the red tail and the later one were very clever in how they used the union jack on the tail. Sometimes the beauty and cleverness is not an "in your face" obvious point.
Other classic schemes that will be remembered long after they disappear or in som cases are already gone from our skies are:
B-Cal's DC-10 livery. Superb!
BOAC
TAPs old livery
Iberia
American Airlines
Continental
Just a few of what I consider great liveries, each with their own kind of inspiration.

-Also, as unoriginal it may be, I never get tired of Alitalia's livery, even more so after flyig with them. Saudia's old livery also used to be very old school. Looked great on the 742's and Tristars.

now now, the British flag is only refered to the "Union Jack" when it is at sea, all other times it is purely the "Union Flag" ;) The things you pick up in Scouts eh...
I love the old AirNZ liver on their DC-10's
Caledonians on the L1011
I quite like bmi's new livery, but dont think that will be too world recognisable
Virgins c/s will stand out where ever it goes though

I think I'll try and start a discussion about commercial aviation, no? :)
First off, TAPortugal's first A346 in new colours. IMO, a much needed improvement from their old 80's looking scheme.
From this:
To this!
Looks great don't it?
Also, some news on one of my favourite airports, Milan Malpensa.
Aircraft changes: Thai from a B744 to an A345 and Qatar to go modern, chaning from A300 to A332.
New carriers:
Centralwings
Icelandair comes with two flights to KEF.
Azal has launched Baku with A319.
Easyjet has launched it's base, more than 40 additional weekly flights being to be added soon.
HLX moved from BGY and launches a daily flight to MUC.
Luxair moved from BGY too.
US Airways launches daily flight to PHL.
Air Madrid launches MAD two times a week.
Royal Jordanian has launched Amman.
Itali launches a flight to Pescara daily.
JAT and another airline (I forgot) are pulling out of MXP.
