1 at the moment - it overnights in Manchester and mainly goes between LGW and Aberdeen, manchester and Geneva and Madrid. I remember it going to Nice last year on a Thursday, and it did sometimes go to Glasgow.
It all depends though on what it does during the day, as aircraft changes are probably fairly common.

I don't think any A319's are actually based at Gatwick as 1 comes in from Manchester in the morning, operates another service from Gatwick to *(Madrid/Aberdeen recently) return, then back to Manchester in the evening. I'm ready to be corrected on this one but I think that's how it works.

Isn't it crewed by MAN crew and therefore based at MAN?

I don't think so, because on a weekday of late it goes
BA2901 MAN-LGW
BA2922 LGW-ABZ
BA2923 ABZ-LGW
BA2740 LGW-GVA
BA2741 GVA-LGW
BA2912 LGW-MAN
Now that would definately exceed crew hours for a MAN based crew. I'd imagine the crew change is in between BA2923 and BA2740
Besides, loads of the BA 737s at Gatwick overnight in Europe or UK.

-The aircraft aren't based at LGW as such. They are LHR based and rotate through LGW via nightstops at MAN. The flight crew are LHR based and do tours that combine LHR and LGW work incuding nightstops at MAN, ABZ and GVA. The cabin crew are LGW based.
The intention is that eventually all the 737s will be replaced with Airbus aircraft based at LGW.

Ahh OK - though they do work tough 'up north! :D

However I understand that before that happens they're going to an all 737/777 operation at Gatwick?
