A while since Highland Airways had a mention here, but it is one of the few instances of a UK carrier flying a sector in one direction but not the other. Highland Airways (8H) fly Sumburgh (in Scotland's Shetland Isles) to Inverness each morning. The northbound sector carries newspapers for the islands, and the airline carries passengers only on the return hop south.

Oftentimes during the winter a Cessna F406, but when bookings are higher or the Cessna is needed for other duties a Jetstream 31 may substitute. A rare case of being able to take a scheduled flight on a Cessna 406!

Other 8H routings are a Mon - Fri INV-SYY-BEB-SYY-BEB-SYY-INV roster, and a simple INV-SYY-INV roster on Sat & Sun. These latter are all normally operated by a J-31.
