Yes, LV is one of my favourite places too, and yes the viewing area on Sunset was where all the photos were taken from.
Cross posting, but there was an airshow at Nellis (just north of LAS) and the first photos are also on the site for military fans:

PS: Note that the Southwest 737 "Maryland One" has no eye-brow windows above the flightdeck - makes it look slightly "frowning" IMHO

Thought so and you are right about the Southwest 737, makes it look more sleek.
I also tried this carpark next to a Go-Kart track I think it was at the other end of Sunset, brings you under them on departure from the 19s etc
When I was first there I was concerned about any police/secruity coming up and stopping us but had no problems anywhere around the permiter, don't know if you ever have.

Neither has the airTran 737. I agree with you about the frown. Looks a bit mean. I like it.
Nice to see so many Boeings. I was only saying to the Captain I was with yesterday that Airbus have taken over practically every shorthaul fleet flying to LHR.
1L.

They're slowly getting a foothold in this region too through the likes of once very loyal Boeing customers such as Air New Zealand, Qantas and their ancillaries

These are really good...I particularily like the Southwest one with both liveries...just shows the changes really well...
What was the Southwest one with the weird looking livery. I know they paint some of their aircraft with the state flag liveries, but don't recognise that one!
