Took off 10:53, but no arrivals time in IoM

I think some of us may owe the young chap a few apologies for doubting him, that's if it lands in the IoM. Website is still a temporary one though, he'll have to sort that prior to the 21st of this month.

Nothing like approaching it with an open mind.

I love the smell of humble pie in the morning.

Is this the same airline that everyone here has been arguing that it wouldn't happen? If so, humble pie to say the least.

I'll eat humble pie. I have no qualms in doing that at all. If the airline in question has started operating today he has at least partially achieved his aims. However, it appears to be a long way away from the operation that was originally announced which must dent customer confidence.

              regards,

So the puff about flights starting on Nov 7 (on the "temporary" website) was only partly true!

Anyone else notice that the prices have dropped ?(now from 49 plus taxes one way)

                Still, good luck to him.

I was another sceptic, but having seen footage only a couple of hours ago of a Jetstream J-31 (with an Alpha1 logo stuck to the nose) taking off from Southampton, I'm starting to believe that this is actually going to happen.

The very best of luck Martin!

I really do hope this project works - it appears that if this goes all the way, it will be a real fairytale story - not often we see things like this happening nowadays.

                      Is the J-31 G-CCPW?

This is the Jetstream owned by Keen Leasing. Seen it sitting outside their hangar at BFS on Saturday. Funny how the owner of Keen Leasing was also one of the founders of Euromanx

Bizzare how this topic seems to be being left open...

Well here we go - he's still spouting crap (quote from the BBC link above):

"I'm probably the only airline boss in the UK who will actually fly the planes."

Yeah right - so someone who by his own admisstion does not have an ATPL (only a CPL) nor an IR is going to be flying a JetStream from Southampton and/or Blackpool to the Isle of Man on scheduled services. Sorry, don't believe it.

This is brilliant. I think I saw this name on here before. Just goes to show, believe in yourself and anything is possible.

                                Nice design as well.

                                  Why is this bizarre?

I thought I had replied to you by PM over the weekend that if the 'airline' started to operate the restriction would be lifted.

Did you not get the PM?

Strictly speaking it's not operating yet as today's excursion was strictly for press and invited guests. So the airline has not made a revenue earning flight yet.
