    Best Short Haul Aircraft

After my previous thread "Best Long Haul Aircraft" It became clear what peoples favourite was and there are some very spilt views in the short haul area, so I wanted to know your favourites too.

Instead of posting and moaning "You missed out..." Just put other and post your choice that I have missed,

Must be in production, does not need to be from experience of travelling on it. I know there are several russian machines, just put other and specify,

Just to let you know, mines the B737-700

    Cheers,

    Wozza

So far, I think I'd have to say the A319.

Tupolev 334 gets my vote. Not sure if its in production though, I know there was quite a few orders for it.

I love the whole A320 family, based on looks, and I can't wait to fly a 321 next year! I voted the A320 as it is the original aircraft of the family.

My favourite is the A321 but from experience however, I voted A320.

I'll go for the 320... I've flown on the 319, 320 and 321.... all remarkably similar you know :-) But I'm going for the A320 because its the original one... the one that fits its intended design brief the best!

I voted for the A318 cos I like the smallness of it, but I also like the B737-600 for the same reason.

Each of my experiences on the A320 has been enjoyable thus far so that is where my vote goes! Based on look as well, the A320 series takes my vote!

My initial experience with A-320's was not pretty good as I travelled on IA A-320's from BOM-DEL(They were noisy). Recent experience with the same type but with the new players as Air Deccan has made me a great fan of the A-320's. These ARE quite... compared to the 737's of the Jet Airways I have flown.

B737-800 is my top favourite short haul a/c, I've travelled on the B738 with Continental between Newark and Las Vegas and found it to be a very enjoyable and comftable ride. The only A320 I've been on was with BH Air between Birmingham and Varna and back, I cant remember much of the return journey but on the outbound it was nothing special that stuck in my mind.

The A321 is another fav of mine though, especially in Monarch colours

My personal favourites were the British Midland DC9 -32 's in particular the "Kohinoor Diamond" sorry Reg escapes me. Excellent flights LHR-LBA with top notch cabin service in the days of "Diamond Service"

I prefer the 737-800, as the airlines I flew with them had more comfortabel seats installed, then in the Airbuses. And the winglets are cool

                                  From that list - B737-800.

Airbuses are quite boring (319 for example is very boring to fly on) - an exeception to that is the A321 which I thought to be a fantastic aircraft to fly on and reminded me of the B757 in some ways.

All airliners are boring to fly on! Except for the initial climb and the descent... where there's movement of flaps and spoilers to look at!

My most interesting flight on an airliner was in a Jetstream 31 at university... the pilots were demonstrating dutch roll, 2g turns and lateral and longitudinal oscillations!

My best short haul flight was on a 737-500 G-GFFB
