US FAA grants all-business startup Eos full operating certificate
Darren Maas, Washington DC (14Sep05, 21:40 GMT, 138 words)

US FAA has granted all-business startup Eos a full operating certificate, allowing the carrier to meet its October launch.

The airline is planning to inaugurate its 48-seat Boeing 757-200ER service between New York JFK and London Stansted on October 1. This will be followed later in the month with a second frequency when all three of the carriers 757s are operational.

Currently, the carrier has just one aircraft fitted with its all-business seating, and that is currently being painted. Two other aircraft with Eos livery are waiting to be reconfigured.

This week US DOT granted Eos the right to sell tickets on its planned inaugural before being fully certified as an air carrier.

In a filing issued today by Eos, the carrier reiterated plans to add services to Germany and the Netherlands once the London route is established.
