-Because BACX make no money and have adopted a strategy to cut unprofitable routes. Lots/all RJ100s going to Swiss and lots of downsizing continuing everywhere across the network.

-Probably low-cost airlines taking over.
MAN-Cork is also operated by BMIBABY
MAN-Nice is also operated by Jet2
MAN-Pisa is also operated by Jet2
MAN-Stuttgart is also operated by Hapag Lloyd Express
MAN-Venice is also operated by Jet2
MAN-Zurich is also operated by Swiss Air Lines

-but BACX are recruitin cabin crew, if so whys this, are they adding newer routes or just increasing flights to thier remaining destinations!?
I know they are gettin rid of the RJs n they will soon be gettin rid of the dash n keeping an all ERJ fleet in the future

-They are only recruiting cabin crew because so many people are leaving them to other airlines!

-There is also quite a bit of competion from Liverpool, Ryanair to Cork,Rome,Pisa,Shannon and Venice. Easyjet to Nice

-Shame about the MAN-ZRH route being dropped, most likely would have used them in December. Now Swiss can charge even more than they did before! :(

Swiss are actaully quite cheap! And imho they offered a much better service than BA, as i found last week lol

-Just looking for prices and your right, they are not too bad. BA had better frequencies though then Swiss.

-Yeah as the aircraft are based at MAN, Swiss are concentrating on serving the Swiss people 1st. If Swiss overnighted on the MAN leg, would be much better

British Airways will discontinue a series of routes out of Birmingham and Manchester operated by CitiExpress from the start of the coming winter schedule at the end of October. The airline will suspend service from Birmingham to Vienna & Rome as well as from Manchester to Cork, Nice, Pisa, Rome, Shannon, Stuttgart, Venice & Zurich :eek: :eek: :eek: :confused: :confused: :confused:
Why so many routes from MAN??? any body know why??? or have more info
