-Is that the Comet that used to be at Scone, or am I getting my Scottish airfields mixed up?

AFAIK it flew straight into East Fortune out of commercial service some 20 odd years ago ?

No, wait - it's the Viscount that's at Scone, isn't it? The Air Inter one?

-Thanks everybody.
but what is East Fortune?
It's an old world war airfield but now is used as a museum.www.nms.ac.uk/flight/
What surprised me about the Comet is how small the entry doors are, the top of the door was at my shoulder height. I bet there were some bangs of the head when people got on.

-I should have been at East Fortune and Edinburgh last week but didn't make it. The Concorde certainly loooks in good condition.

You are probably remembering the Comet which flew into Strathallan, near Auchterarder, when the museum was there(grass field!).
The museum is long gone, and the Comet scrapped ,unfortunately.

Hi,
Hope everybody is ok!
Had a trip up to East Fortune on Wednesday then spent Thursday and Friday in Edinburgh.
As Allen has already been and explained the Concorde exhibit (and the high prices of the cafe) I thought I would just show you my photo's.
More to come tommorow. :) :)
