-I'm not sure about the ETOPS rules, but I'd say it's about a 10 hour flight. Not quite as far West as said coast on the U.S., but a little further South.

-It will be operated under ETOPS rules but a direct routing to Mexico would still be well within the company's ETOPS limit time at all points.

Question for you routing experts.
A friend is flying to Mexico next month on a Thomas Cook flight from LGW. My 'airtime' flight guide says the aircraft will be an A330-200. Presumably ETOPS rules apply here, so will it have to fly further North than a 4 engine 'plane and about how long will the flight take?
