The Rekkof website has been given a mayor revamp. Still no mention on when they will start making planes though.

Personally, the old site looked far more professional. This looks more like a flight sim site that was thrown together in one afternoon. Heck, my new site will look more professional (will be released soon ;))

One bit is very intersting though:

Continuous emphasize will be put on reduction of maintenance and production cost. Further product development are planned, like extended range or aircraft with more than 130 seats, as a natural extensions of the family.

tenthije - do you think this venture will ever get off the ground?

I must admit to being a bit sceptical as to if the F70 & F100 will be produced again.

Who is going to buy brand new expensive Fokker 100s when there is plemty of them stored in the desert going for a fraction of the new unit price?

AB is still getting F100's as well as Helvetic and JetsGo. So therefore I personally think it will be a good venture.

AB,Jetsgo and all the rest are getting their Fokkers from the desert where thers still a good 40-50 stored. I dont think it will work and now embraer have filled that market they have competition.

Plenty of demand for the fokkers that are about.

I'm told nothing comes close to the operating efficiencies they provide. Although, I do not knot in what regards.

They are a very efficent aircraft and I personally love them but would be a little pesimistic about about it.

the website says especially the Fokker 70 proves to be popular, because almost all the aircraft are with the original owner.

Well where are all the 70?

If a Fokker 70 comes onto the market you can bet KLM Cityhopper will get it.
