-Interesting.Will the 767 routes be taken over by the new A330s and what about LHR will that be reduce to all 737 equipment as some of the flight were 767s werent they?

-I presume there's still a thriving market for second hand 767's ? At least that was what a pilot at GLA told me ages ago when Zoom were having trouble laying their hands on any.
Just think of the minimal respray if Zoom were to take a couple of th ex- KLM birds ?

Offcially, yes. Unofficially, with only 6 A330s on order (more on option) it is gonna be mighty hard to replace all 767 routes with A330s.

-I would expect some 767 operated routes to be upgraded to MD11s. These would be displaced from certain routes which in the future would be operated by 777s.... This has already happened on the AMS-Lagos route. On another note, I am pleased to see that the only KLM 767 I've flown on will be the last one to be retired.

-They (767) look good in KLM livery. Saw one at LHR.

300's yes. One is ex-Air France, don't know about the other one ?

-Didn't expect the 767s to go so soon to be honest.
"Should" be flying on one in a couple of weeks after last year taking flights on ZB and ZD.
The A330s though will be a superb replacement for what I think is quite a shabby aircraft in the KLM fleet.

Speaking of which (Zoom), they are in discussions with ILFC to take PH-BZA and PH-BZC. Apparently the talks are very serious. At least, that's what was said at the scramble message board.

The first one already leaves in 5 months! These are the rough dates the planes will retire from the schedules. Then 3 or 4 weeks after that the planes will return to ILFC or, if ILFC can find them, straight to new operators.

Thanks to a posting at the DSML mailing list.
Also from the DSML mailing list comes the news Martinair will take converted 747-400s, not newly build 747s. No delivery schedule has been announced but it may take a while since conversions take time.
