Hi

Above link is the Concorde SST website forum; there is a campaign to save Trident 3B parked at Heathrow from being scrapped - BAA have ordered it to be moved, so scrap man was going to be called in.

One of the main guys responsible for keeping it in its present tidy / restored state has found a home for it in Manchester (museum); only problem is the cost to move it is £20,000.

A few of the forum members have got wind of this and a trust fund is being set up this week. People have started pledging cash to pay for the transportation. If the fund reaches a certain value (TBA) Bri****h Airways have offered to foot the rest of the bill, and the plane will be saved from the scrap man.

In its first 2 hours of the anouncement of the fund £1000 was pledged, most people pledging £25 each...................however will need to maintain this momentum.

To pledge simply go to the link above, you will see all the other pledge postings. Go to last page and post your pledge as follows:

Name- Fred Bloggs
Contact - fred_bloggs@hotmail.com
Pledge - £25

You dont need to be a member to post a pledge.

All donors will have there names displayed on the plane (inside wall or on exterior fuselage - to be decided).

Please forward to as many fans of British Aircraft as you can. The plane can be viewed on the Perimeter Road at Heathrow near Hatton Cross station.

Regards
