Although the Iran Airways rumor sounds fantastic, it also means i wont see the AC A345 flyin anytime soon:(
F.Y.I- The two A345's are stored at Chateaureux( Deols) CHR, France.

-I thought 2 of the A345 of Air Canada were destined for Brunei?

-Why are they humiliating that A319? Such a beautiful aircraft deserves the best of liveries.

-Maybe it's because Easyjet planes are such a common sight, but I'm really bored looking at their livery. A new one would be nice to see.

-A daft question, but how many exit doors over the wing does that A319 have?
Looks like two from the piccy, but don't A319s only have one?
By: 27th August 2003 at 11:52 Permalink - Edited 1st January 1970 at 01:00
-EZY requested to have two exit doors on their A319's.

-Oh great; that was the way I used to distinguish between a A319 and a A320. :(
I presume only EZY have 2 exits on their 319s?
Just when you get the hang of something, someone changes the rules...lol

-At least you'll know Easy only fly A319's so no mixing it with the A320.

-Airbus had to up the number of overwing exits on EZY 319's so that they could offer the same seating capacity as the Boeing bid. In fact I believe they went a bit further and offered one extra seat just to really give themselves an advantage rather than just be equal.

So Airbus is the new R. Brentson of the skies, that is definitely something sir Richard would do ;)

I think Iran Air should be in sound financial condition for operating A345s.

-Iranair as statal airline, whose regimen doesn´t give any explanation about statal finances and accountability can afford everything.

I heard a rumour this evening that Iran Air are to take delivery of two A340-500's very soon. The two that they are to receive are the ones that were due to go to Air Canada a few months back, but since Air Canada are in a position where they are at this time not needed, Iran Air have offered to take them.
The two A340-500's are currently in storage at TLS.
Any more info would be a great help.
And now...first pic of it(real pic that is!:D)
